- Sandra provided an update of SRA ANZ activities and accomplishments for 2017. These were accomplished with very limited resources on the part of SRA ANZ, and the Executive Committee and member volunteers are to be commended for their rich contributions to the Society:
- A very well-attended and well organised annual conference, led by Martina Hoffmann. The successful collaboration with ABNMS - a first for SRA ANZ - is to be particularly commended.

- A regular newsletter with interesting features, led by Martina Hoffmann
- Regular webinars, which have given SRA ANZ members with access to international risk experts, led by Steve Corin (in coordination with Peg Coleman)
- Stronger engagement with industry, led by Barbara Campany
- Work on the SRA ANZ-sponsored special issue of the Journal of Risk Research, aimed at showcasing the work of risk scholars in the region, led by Sandra Seno-Alday)

- Webinars
- Following the positive feedback on the 2017 webinars, there was a consensus to continue collaborating with SRA International on this initiative
- Timing the webinars to be convenient to as broad a range of time zones as possible needs to be further discussed with SRA International and other SRA regional chapters
- It would be good to invite experts from SRA ANZ and across the region to contribute their time and expertise to a few webinars
- Broad topics with cross-disciplinary applications must be encouraged
- 2019 World Congress on Risk
- It would be good for SRA ANZ to contribute a symposium to the 2019 World Congress on Risk, with a theme to build on the interconnectedness focus of the 2017 SRA ANZ conference (this suggestion strongly put forward by Hong Jin)

- Journal special issues
- There was a suggestion to continue exploring SRA ANZ journal special issues, particularly in the Risk Analysis journal
- There was a suggestion to continue exploring SRA ANZ journal special issues, particularly in the Risk Analysis journal
- Education and training
- There was a suggestion for SRA ANZ to step up efforts in education and training on risk analysis methods, to contribute to the professional development of people in the field
- Of particular interest was for the Society to create protocols to integrate risk analysis across a range of domains and applications (e.g. project management)
- There was also a suggestion to stimulate debate and discussion on current risk topics
